Asher Taccori, NCP intern: "It's a perfect gateway"
10 Mar 2016
With the support of the New Colombo Plan, Asher spent five months as an intern at the World Food Program (WFP) Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok where he carried out research on complementary feeding and nutrition. Asher enjoyed his time living in a big city, working with Thai colleagues, eating delicious food and learning to speak some Thai.
With his strong interest in public health, malnutrition and development, Asher found his internship at WFP was relevant and rewarding. As well as contributing to the work of WFP, Asher also used his internship to learn from experts in the field and to build his professional networks. He said his time as an NCP intern at WFP was “a perfect gateway” to his dream career.
