On 18 June 2018, Deputy Head of Mission Ms Octavia Borthwick hosted an afternoon tea to welcome 20 social work and archaeology students from James Cook University at the Australian Embassy. During their exchange program at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, the NCP students spent a few days of homestay at a small rural village where is also an important archaeology site called Ban Non Wat. The social work team visited various related institutions while the archaeology students helped with sorting artefacts from a recent excavation in Khorat.
